Born out of a love for tattooing. Luna Pigments’ Doug Curtis from Austin Texas, Carlos Truan owner of Communion Tattoo, in Austin Texas and Dano Sanchez owner of Magical Tattoo in Taos New Mexico. Together we have formulated high quality natural pigments for tattooing. We have taken the minimal ingredient approach to mixing black, in its simple form. No acrylics! No lacquers! In the traditional ways of mixing pigments, we have made a gray wash that can be smooth, if that’s what you prefer, or a real “peppery” look. For stipple or traditional whip shade, we have all those bases covered. With 80 plus years of combined experience. We have past and present knowledge of how black holds up through the decades.

Magical White is a really strong white. It's great for the finishing highlights or white outline tattoos and will lay over black. 4 oz. $45.00
We really can not say enough good things about Magical Black! An all around black, it has the feel of mixing Talens and Pelican, but is a straight up clean carbon / soot based pigment. It lays in so nice & dense, and heals and settles in really rich. It is really hard to let go of the comfort of the black you use, but we think that once you try it on a 1 point tattoo you will like the healed results. This black is a larger molecule black which prevents blow outs. Stays dark & sharp longer because the sun doesn't break this pigment down as easily as others. No blue casting or migration. It can be considered a labor of love applying it in the skin, but your tattooing will be elevated. 8 oz. $50.00
Denim Light Wash is where the blue really shines out! This is where the vintage tone sets in. Some dispersing solution can give a little bit more range, but it heals lighter than it looks as a fresh tattoo. 2 oz $20.00
