Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website www.unbrokentattooreston.com (the "Site") or booking services with Unbroken Ink, LLC (the "Studio," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Site or services.

2. Services Provided

Unbroken Ink, LLC, provides professional tattooing and related body art services. All services are performed by licensed professionals in accordance with Virginia health and safety regulations.

3. Age Requirements

You must be at least 18 years of age to receive tattoo services. Valid government-issued photo identification is required for all clients. We do not provide services to minors under any circumstances, even with parental consent.

4. Booking and Appointments

4.1 Deposits

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment. Deposit amounts vary by service and will be communicated at the time of booking. Deposits are applied toward the final cost of your service.

4.2 Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice will result in forfeiture of your deposit.

  • No-shows will result in forfeiture of deposit and may affect your ability to book future appointments.

  • Rescheduling is subject to artist availability.

4.3 Late Arrivals

Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may be required to reschedule and may forfeit their deposit.

5. Health and Safety

5.1 Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Disclose all relevant medical conditions, allergies, medications, and health concerns

  • Follow all pre-care and aftercare instructions provided by your artist

  • Inform us immediately if you are pregnant, nursing, or have any blood-borne diseases

  • Not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs during your appointment

5.2 Studio Rights

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who:

  • Appears intoxicated or under the influence of drugs

  • Has a medical condition that may pose risks

  • Fails to provide proper identification

  • Is disruptive, disrespectful, or threatening to staff or other clients

6. Design and Artistic Rights

6.1 Custom Designs

Custom tattoo designs created by our artists remain the intellectual property of Unbroken Ink, LLC, and the individual artist. You receive a license to have the design tattooed on your body but do not own the design itself.

6.2 Artist Discretion

Our artists reserve the right to refuse any design request that:

  • Violates our policies (including hate symbols, gang-related imagery, or offensive content)

  • Is beyond the artist's skill level or comfort zone

  • Cannot be safely or effectively executed

6.3 Photography and Portfolio Use

We may photograph completed work for portfolio and promotional purposes unless you specifically opt out. You grant us permission to use these images on our website, social media, and marketing materials.

7. Pricing and Payment

7.1 Pricing

All prices are estimates and may vary based on the complexity, size, and time required to complete your tattoo or piercing. Final pricing will be confirmed before service begins.

7.2 Payment Methods

We accept cash, credit cards, and other payment methods as displayed at our shop. Payment in full is required upon completion of service.

7.3 Gratuity

Gratuity is not included in service pricing but is greatly appreciated for exceptional service.

8. Aftercare and Healing

8.1 Your Responsibilities

Proper healing of your tattoo is your responsibility. You must:

  • Follow all aftercare instructions provided

  • Keep the area clean and protected

  • Avoid swimming, sun exposure, and other activities as directed

  • Contact us immediately if you experience signs of infection or complications

8.2 Touch-Ups

Minor touch-ups for tattoos may be provided free of charge for the life of your tattoo, at the artist's discretion. This covers normal healing variations only and does not cover damage from improper aftercare, sun exposure, or negligence.

9. Liability and Assumption of Risk

9.1 Acknowledgment of Risks

You acknowledge that tattooing carries inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Pain and discomfort

  • Bleeding and bruising

  • Allergic reactions

  • Infection

  • Scarring

  • Dissatisfaction with aesthetic results

9.2 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unbroken Ink, LLC, its owners, employees, and artists shall not be liable for any injuries, infections, or complications arising from services provided, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

9.3 Release

By receiving services, you release Unbroken Ink, LLC, from any claims, damages, or liabilities related to your tattoo, except those arising from our negligence.

10. Tattoo Supplies and Retail Sales

10.1 Product Sales

Unbroken Tattoo Reston may offer tattoo supplies, aftercare products, merchandise, and other related items for sale in-studio. All product sales are subject to the following terms.

10.2 Product Descriptions and Pricing

We make every effort to accurately describe and price products. However, we reserve the right to:

  • Correct pricing errors or inaccuracies

  • Modify product descriptions

  • Discontinue products at any time

  • Limit quantities available for purchase

10.3 Professional Use Only

Certain tattoo supplies and equipment are sold for professional use only. By purchasing professional-grade tattoo equipment, needles, machines, or supplies, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are a licensed tattoo professional or authorized to purchase such items

  • You will use products in compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations

  • You understand proper sterilization, safety, and usage protocols

  • You will not resell products as new if packaging has been opened

We reserve the right to refuse sale of professional equipment to individuals who cannot provide proof of licensure or professional status.

10.4 Age Restrictions

You must be 18 years or older to purchase any products from our shop or website. By making a purchase, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

10.5 Orders and Payment

  • All purchases are subject to product availability

  • Payment is due at the time of purchase

  • We accept cash, credit cards, and other payment methods as posted

  • We reserve the right to cancel any sale for any reason, including suspected fraud, product unavailability, or pricing errors

10.6 Returns and Exchanges

General Return Policy

  • Returns must be requested within 14 days of purchase

  • Products must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging

  • Proof of purchase (receipt) is required

  • Store credit will be issued for eligible returns

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Opened or used tattoo needles, cartridges, or other sterile supplies (for health and safety reasons)

  • Custom-ordered items or special orders

  • Clearance or final sale items

  • Gift cards

  • Aftercare products that have been opened or used (unless defective)

Defective or Damaged Products

If you receive a defective or damaged product:

  • Contact us within 7 days of purchase

  • Provide photos of the damage or defect

  • We will replace the item or issue a full refund

  • Return the defective item to the studio

How to Initiate a Return

To return an item:

  1. Contact us at unbrokenreston@gmail.com or visit the studio

  2. Bring your receipt and the item in original packaging

  3. Store credit will be processed immediately for eligible returns

10.7 Refunds

  • Refunds may be issued at our discretion for defective products only

  • Most returns will receive store credit rather than refunds

  • Refund processing may take 7-10 business days

10.8 Product Safety and Liability

Professional Responsibility

If you are a professional purchasing supplies:

  • You are solely responsible for proper sterilization and safety protocols

  • You must comply with all local, state, and federal health regulations

  • You assume all liability for the use of products in your professional practice

Consumer Aftercare Products

  • Follow all product instructions and warnings

  • Discontinue use if irritation or allergic reaction occurs

  • Consult a healthcare provider if complications develop

Limitation of Liability for Products

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unbroken Ink, LLC, is not liable for:

  • Improper use of products

  • Allergic reactions to products used as directed

  • Consequences of failure to follow product instructions

  • Injuries or damages resulting from professional use of equipment and supplies

10.9 Product Warranties

Products are covered by manufacturer warranties where applicable. We do not provide additional warranties beyond those offered by manufacturers. Warranty claims should be directed to the manufacturer.

11.1 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

  • Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code

  • Harass, abuse, or harm others through the Site
